About Us

The Irish Youth Lacrosse organization was founded in the Fall of 2024 after the leaders of the South Bend Bears, ICCL, and Penn lacrosse programs decided to merge.

We are proud to offer lacrosse programs for 1st to 8th grade boys and girls living in the Michiana area. Families from South Bend, Granger, Mishawaka, Elkhart, Edwardsburg, Niles, and surrounding areas are welcome to participate.

Our goal is to provide an well organized and safe environment for players to learn the game of lacrosse. By combining our resources across 3 programs, we have been able to assemble an amazing group of individuals committed to not only growing the game of lacrosse, but improving the quality of lacrosse played in our area.

We know there will be challenges in our first year - each program has operated differently until this point. We are confident that the growing pains we may endure in the short term will ultimately result in a lacrosse program for the kids in the Michiana community over the long term. 

Our Mission Statement
Irish Youth Lacrosse strives to make our sport accessible to all youth in the Michiana area, fostering a love for the game, promoting teamwork, and developing athletic skills for boys and girls of all backgrounds. Through inclusive programs, we aim to create opportunities for young athletes to grow both on and off the field, while building a supportive and diverse lacrosse community that encourages lifelong participation and personal growth.
